Sei has been a research staff member of IBM Research in Tokyo since 2002, after receiving his PhD in Mathematical Science from the University of Tokyo. He has had significant experience in transportation engineering research, such as leading a JPY 1.5M government-funded project. Within the project, he developed a key IBM Smarter City asset, which is currently in Smarter Transportation projects worldwide.
